I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
